Amie S. Carpenter
Amie Carpenter joined the firm in May of 2014. Amie is originally from Greenville, South Carolina. She received her B.A. in Communications from the College of Charleston in 2009. In 2013, Amie received her J.D. from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, and became a member of the South Carolina Bar. During law school, Amie worked as a student lawyer through her law school’s Family Violence Clinic. Additionally, Amie received an externship with Legal Services. While there, she worked with clients throughout their divorce proceedings and continued to advocate for victims of domestic violence.
Since her admission to the South Carolina Bar, Amie has represented clients throughout Greenville and Upstate South Carolina in the areas of Family Law, Probate Litigation and Estate Administration. Primarily, Amie, represents individuals in divorce and child custody actions. Additionally, Amie is a Guardian Ad Litem that advocates for children's best interests in custody litigation.
From 2015 to 2018, Amie was a contract attorney for Safe Harbor. She advocated for victims of domestic violence by aiding them in obtaining orders of protection.
Amie is a member of the Greenville County Bar Association. She is active in the community through her church and Christmas Shoes Ministry, a non-profit organization where she currently sits on the Board of Directors.
